The Talent Pool – the Greater Paris

Almost ten years ago, the Arsene Wenger was regarded as the talent pool, which is second to Sao Paulo in Brazil. At present, the capital of France has become the largest talent pool in football. Up to now, there are only a few professional football players who have been raised in Paris, such as Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, N’Golo Kante, Kingsley Coman, Blaise Matuidi and Kylian Mbappe, plus three other regular Paris Saint-Germain starters, the Algerian internationals Riyad Mahrez and Yacine Brahimi. Many professional football players of Senegal and Morocco national football team will play at the forthcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup.

One possible reason for the result may lie in undiscovered excellent football players. According to statistical data from the book Sciences Sociales Soccer Club, footballers in top-division of France increased to 27 percent from 10 percent in 1995-96 season. Pogba has answered the question in an interview in Turin in 2016. He illustrated the critical reason for the sequence. In Parisian suburbs, youths will play soccer no matter in or out of school, reducing the possibility to do other stupid things. The soccer turned to be an indispensable part in their daily life. In suburbs, people can play soccer everywhere at any time, which stop people to dedicate in other projects. There is an extremely good example in Les Ulis, where three symbolic footballer grown into excellent professional football players. It is in the place even without a train station that three footballers – Henry, Martial and Patrice Evra are produced, and step onto the international stage in football.
